Ganesh Himal

Treks in the Ganesh Himal Region are designed to introduce you to a broad spectrum of life in different Nepalese communities and a variety of beautiful scenery.

You may visit the Base Camp of Ganesh Himal where there are two lakes - Black and White. Twin waterfalls – Ganga and Jamuna.

Visit this area in March or April, and you will be astounded by the mass of colour produced by the giant Rhododendron blooms – Nepal’s national flower.

Visit Gorkha, the birthplace of modern Nepal. This was the home of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who fought many wars to unite the tiny kingdoms spread throughout the land now known as Nepal. His palace can be seen on the top of a hill at Gorkha. This area is also the homeland of the original Gurkha warriors.

The Ganesh Himal treks begin at Trishuli, a three hours drive from Kathmandu and end at Gorkha, a six hours return drive to Kathmandu.

Dhaulagiri
21 - 28 Days Trekking

DHAULAGIRI I (8,167 m.) is the World’s sixth highest mountain peak. It is part of great massif that includes 14 other summits exceeding 7000 meters. The jagged ridgeline of the Dhaulagiri Himal extends westward more than 40 miles from the Kali Gandaki Khola.

Trekking routes in this area are very strenuous and trekkers must be equipped for camping. Several optional routes can be taken.

All routes offer spectacular scenery in remote and challenging country and are suitable for experienced trekkers with basic mountaineering skills. Treks start at Baglung and end at Pokhara.


FULCHOKI- DAKSHINKALI
5 to 8 days
Grade -Easy / Moderate


This is a short but very rewarding trek on the rim of Kathmandu Valley. You will begin you trip at Dakshinkali, a holy temple dedicated to Kali, where you can view animal sacrificial ceremonies on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Along the route, the hilltop of Fulchoki (2762 m.) is the highest hill on the valley rim. This trek is of special interest to those wanting to learn about village life and enjoy the sight of vast variety of flowers and birds in this region. The village of Panauti is our final destination.


 

PANCHPOKHARI-CHARIKOT
(Kalingchok)
12 days
Grade -Easy / Moderate


This trek starts from Sundarijal, one hour drive from Kathmandu and ends at Dolalghat. You will trek through Helambu, a typical Sherpa village and enjoy memorable views of Panchpokhari, which means five lakes. This is a beautiful forested area situated on the slopes of the Rolwaling Mountain Range.


 

ROLWALING
12 to 28 days
Grade -Moderate / Strenuous


This region lies between LANGTANG range and EVEREST range and the sight of both MOUNT LANGTANG and MOUNT EVEREST is the highlight of this trek. The trekkers will be rewarded with the enchanting view of Majestic Mountain GAURI SHANKER (7134 m.). The trek to this region starts from Dolakha, a small township near Charikot, an 8 hours drive from Kathmandu. The trail following the course of River Tamakoshi on the way to Simigaon adds more thrills to the trek. The option of crossing Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755 m.) to go to Namche Bazar of Everest region is an adventure of its own kind. In this trail the Glacial Lake Tsho Rolpa offers the experience of lifetime.



GORKHA- POKHARA ( ROYAL TREK)
5 - 10 days

Gorkha is the homeland of the famous Gurkha warriors, renowned worldwide for their courage and loyalty. This trek introduces you to Nepalese life in the central mountain area as you visit scores of villages clinging to terraced mountain slopes. The rugged landscape is divided by a multitude of high ridges and deep river valleys providing breathtaking views at every turn and ridge top. This trek offers you visit of Begnas and Rupa lakes near Pokhara. The trek begins with a scenic six hours drive to Gorkha and ends at Pokhara from where a drive back to Kathmandu offers you more opportunity to view the lush green valleys and hillsides of Nepal.


DOLPA
28 to 35 days
Grade -Strenuous


This is a very recently opened trekking region and offers the longest trek in Nepal. You will be taken to the most remote villages where people still live as they did long ago. Few tourists visit this fascinating area even today. This area which is a SHANGRI-LA in itself provides you with great mountain views including the magnificent MT. DHAULAGIRI (8167 m.). This area is the dwelling place of Snow Leopard and an enchanting trek in this region by Peter Matthiessen gave birth to his masterpiece "SNOW LEOPARD", a spiritual novel and one of the best sellers. A trek to this region is recommended for groups. This trek begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Jumla or a drive to Baglung.


MAKALU – TUMLINGTAR
16 to 22 days
Grade -Very Strenuous


This is a remote trekking area for those particularly interested in mountain flora and fauna and who love adventure. You have the options of flying to Tumlingtar to begin this trek or driving to Hille, 12 hours east of Kathmandu on the main East – West Highway.


KANCHANJUNGA
28 days
Grade -Very Strenuous


MOUNT KANCHANJUNGHA (8586 M.) is the third highest mountain in the world and the second highest peak in Nepal. It is located in the extreme northeast corner of NEPAL bordering Sikkim (an Indian State) to the east and China to the north. This trek is the most adventurous of all the routes offered. This trek begins at Tumlingtar or Taplejung accessible by air, or Ilam or Basantpur accessible by road. Soaring peaks, the Yalung Glacier and a wide variety of natural vegetation and agricultural areas can be seen in this region.


MANASLU
16 to 25 days
Grade -Very Strenuous


All the treks to Manaslu Region begin at Gorkha, a 6 hours drive to the west from Kathmandu. This recently opened area brings you the opportunity to experience village culture and the beauties of the pine forest. View the Tibetan Plateau from Larke Pass or choose the Base Camp trek and enjoy natural hot springs. Another option of this varied area is the Rupinala Route, which will take you to "Dudh Pokhari", a holy Lake. The choice is yours:

Rupinala – Dudh Pokhari 16 Days.
