Safari In Chitwan National Park
Nepal's
first and most famous national park is situated in the Inner
Terai lowlands of Chitwan. Covering an area of 932 sq. kilometers
the park includes hilly areas of the Shivalik Range covered
by deciduous trees. Parts of the park are floodplains of rivers
Narayani, Rapti, and the Reu, covered by dense tall elephant
grass, forests of silk cotton, acacia and Sisam trees. Chitwan
National Park was officially established in 1973 and included
as World Heritage Site in 1984.
The
park in Chitwan is shelter to the last endangered Asian species
like the one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger.
Other animals found here are the leopard, sloth bear, wild
boar, rhesus monkey, grey langur monkey, wild dog, small wild
cats, bison, the four species of deer and other small animals.
Marsh crocodiles inhabit the swampy areas. The Gangetic crocodile
that only feed on fish, are found in a stretch of the River
Narayani. Also found here is one of the four species of fresh-water
dolphins.
Chitwan
park is also home to 450 species of bird and hence is ideal
for bird watching. Some of the resident specialties are woodpeckers,
hornbills, Bengal florican, red-headed trogons, waterfowl,
Brahminy duck, pintails and bareheaded geese. In summer the
forest is alive with nesting migrants such as the fabulous
paradise flycatcher, the Indian pitta and parakeets.

Jungle
Safari In Bardia National Park
The
Bardia National Park, situated in the mid-far Western region,
is the largest and most unspoiled wilderness area in the Terai,
covering an area of 968 sq. km. The park, a sub-tropical jungle,
is thickly forested by sal trees and carpeted with grass,
savannah and riverine vegetation. The north is bordered by
the Churia hill range, the west by the Karnali river, while
the Babai river cuts its course almost through the middle
of the park. On the southern fringe of the park are the villages
of the unique and indigenous Tharu people of Western Nepal.
Considered as one of the most picturesque national parks in
Asia, it teems with rich and diverse flora and fauna.
The
park is home to more than 30 different mammals, including
the langur and rhesus monkeys, civets, hyenas, wild dogs,
sloth bears, otters, blue bulls, deer and wild boars. It is
a regenerated habitat for endangered animals like the tiger,
rhinoceros, wild elephant ( the park harbours the biggest
wild tusker in Asia) and black buck, Gharial and marsh mugger
crocodiles the great game fish-masher and the Gangetic dolphin
cavort in the river waters. The unique birds which number
over 350 species include cormorants, egret, storks, geese,
jungle fowls, king-fishers and endangered species such as
the Bengal florican, silver-eared mesia and the saurus crane
thus making the park truly a bird watchers paradise.
Within
the park are several open grasslands (plants) where game viewing
is excellent. Many of the forest tracks throughout the park
also offer excellent game viewing. And when you can take in
the sights and sounds of the wild without necessarily having
to give up on your creature comforts, what more could you
ask for

Rafting
Interesting
and justifiably famous, not only for its proximity to the
world's highest mountain, but also for its Sherpa villages
and monasteries, the Everest, or Solu Khumbu area is the second
most popular trekking destination in Nepal. The primary objective
of Everest treks is either the Everest base camp, about 5.340
meters, or Kala Pattar, an unassuming 5.545 meter hump on
the southern flank of Pumori (7.161 meters), which provides
a fine view of Everest (8.848 metres).Read

Nepal Bungee Jumping
If
you thought bungee jumping was restricted to some places in
Europe, New Zealand and America, it's time you got and update.
The sport has finally found a natural home in the highest
mountain range in the world. The ultimate thrill of a bungee
jump can now be experienced in Nepal at perhaps the best site
in the world.
Nepal's
first bungee jumping site is situated 160m over the wild Bhote
Koshi river, and located close to the Nepal-Tibet border,
a three-hour bus ride from Kathmandu. As can be arranged on
arrival in Kathmandu. As of now, there is only one agency
offering this sport. The jump, at 160m, was designed by one
of New Zealand's leading bungee consultants, and is operated
by some of the most experienced jump masters in the business.
It's mishap-proof. The agency takes safety "very, very
seriously".
Location
: Less than 3 hours outside Kathmandu by Ultimate Bungy Shuttle.
You will travel the Arniko (Kathmandu/Lhasa) Highway to within
12km of the Tibet Border and the famous Friendship Bridge.
The
Gorge : Ultimate Bungy Nepal takes place on a 166m wide steel
suspension bridge over the Bhoti Kosi River.
The
Bridge : Swiss designed, specially for bungy jumping with
a 4x saftey factor. The bridge has a loading factor of 250kg
per running meter. This means that the bridge will hold 250
x 166 = 41,500kg or 4.5 tonnes. And... those are Swiss measurements!
* Over 6000 meters of steel wire was used to build the bridge
* Longest suspension bridge in Nepal * The bridge joins two
sides of a great valley. Before its construction, locals walked
five hours to cross this river gorge.

Nepal Paragliding
Nepal
forms a rectangle on the southern slopes of the Himalaya and
is without exception, the most stunning country imaginable.
The main area for paragliding is the Pokhara valley, commanding
views of 3 of the worlds 8000m peaks with friendly and constant
conditions for your paragliding holiday.
Tandem
flying involves a pilot flying with a passenger. Both have
separate harnesses that are attached to each other and the
wing. Paragliding harnesses are built for comfort and safety,
they feel more like an armchair. Once launched the passenger
just sits back, relaxes and takes in the epic scenery. Even
taking pictures is not a problem. Due to the portable nature
and easy launch characteristics of a paraglider (they fit
into a rucksack) We can take them anywhere and fly them from
most mountains in Nepal.
We take a 20 min jeep ride from Pokhara to Sarangkot the viewpoint
2000ft above Lakeside. From here we can see 3 of the highest
mountains in the world. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasulu, all
over 8000 m. We offer 3 types of tandem flight from here.
Phewa
Tal View
In the morning and late afternoon these 15min flights give
you a taste of un powered flight, taking you over Pokhara
lake and then landing by a Lakeside bar.
Cloud
buster
This midday flight gives you the thrill of high flight as
we thermal up above Sarangkot in the company of eagles and
vultures, 30min - 1 hour. We land by the lake.
Cross-country
This offers you the chance to experience flying from one valley
to another. Using thermals, clouds and birds to guide us,
we take you on an unforgettable journey north of Pokhara towards
the big mountains. We fly as long as we can and aim to return
to Pokhara that afternoon.
