Cafe des Musees, looks like an average Parisian Cafe, a bit scruffy round the edges, but half the restaurant is taken up by the kitchen that provides classic no-nonsense bistro food, two course €13. back dining room. You need to go early if you want to get into this
fine popular restaurant, it opens at 12.15 Cafe Constant, a few blocks south of L'Affriole, the area now has a relaxing atmosphere. The 7th arrondissement and the Rues Cleer and Saint Dominique are peppered with restaurants, cheese shops and elegant charcuteries hung with airdried hams. The restaurant is owned by Christian Constant, who also runs the Michelin stareed Violon d'Inges a few doors along the Rue Saint Dominique. The no frills bistro doesnt take reservations , so be there by 12.20 to be sure of a table. Graindorge, set in one of the most highfaluten quartiers of Paris, just behind the Arc de Triomphe and serves two courses for 24€. The restraunt takes you back to the 20's and 30's, complete with art deco prints. Flavours are strong and earthy, which comes from its Flemish origins. The beers are perhaps one of the reasons to add to your list, they compliment the food tremendously well. 15 Rue Arc de Triomphe, 17eme; 01 47 54 00 28; closed Sat lunch and Sunday. L'Epigramme, a pocket sized, serious minded spot 50yds from Rue St Andre des Arts, in the heart of the left bank. Book at least a day ahead to ensure you get a table. Two courses 22€, food excellent rustic with old fashioned tastes. The dining room is light and unfussy. 9 Rue l'Eperon, 6 eme; 01 44 41 00 09;closed Sunday and Monday.

Travelodge is proving to be the UK's fastest growing budget hotel chain as it announces its acquisition of of 52 Innkeeper's Lodges (1,994 rooms) from restaurant and pub operator Mitchells and Butlers. This deal will boost Travelodge's estate to 452 hotels and increase its room stock to 30,504 across the UK, Ireland and Spain. The new hotels are expected to be ready within the following four months and the rooms will cost £19 per night, in keeping with current Travelodge pricing policy.
